Rules and Regulations
- Students are encouraged to ask questions. Lab personnel and faculty are available to help students during the open practice lab schedule.
- Absence of the student for more than 25% of simulation sessions will lead to student failure in the course. The course syllabus contains more information about absence policy
- The Student should always come physically and mentally prepared to perform simulation skills
- Students are not allowed to have food or drink at any time in lab.
- Only students who have simulation teaching session are allowed to enter.
- Students should use the special dress lab uniforms (blue dress).
- Students should handle with caution the medical devices, equipment and machines.
- Students should maintain the cleanliness and arrangement of laboratories.
- Students should not use mobile devices and networks during the siltation sessions.
- Students are not allowed to enter the computer control room, coordinator`s office and gather in the corridors unless permitted.
- Simulation mannequins should be treated with the same respect as patients
- Students should not touch the computers used to run the mannequins
- Students are not permitted to be left alone in the lab unsupervised, and Faculty/Instructor must be available throughout the teaching session.
- Report of any damage to the simulation equipment should occur immediately to the lab staff.
- Students should restore the area of their practice cleaned and organized for the subsequent simulation sessions.
- Students are not allowed to apply betadine, markers, pens, or other liquids or inks over the mannequins. If the student accidently marks on mannequin, the lab assistant should be informed.
- Mannequins should be covered after their use and the equipment should be returned to their storage place.
- Students must act seriously as they would in a real hospital setting. No laughing, joking, or talking that distract teaching session is allowed.
- Students should adhere to the assigned role and practice during the sessions.
- Students must treat group, patients and instructors with respect.
- Any behavior during simulation that disturbs the learning process is unacceptable.
